What happened

The Save Life theme by ThemeREX Group has a deserialization flaw (PHP object injection) that lets untrusted input be turned into objects it should never create.

Why it is dangerous: A successful attack could let someone run code, read or change data, or take over the website. Site owners and visitors who rely on the site are at risk.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run the Save Life theme version 1.2.14 or earlier.

Save Life theme (ThemeREX Group): all versions through 1.2.14

What to do

  1. Check whether your site uses the Save Life theme and which version is installed
  2. Update the theme to a version newer than 1.2.14 once a fixed release is available, or check the vendor for a patch
  3. If no fix is available yet, consider switching to another theme or restricting access to the site until a fix is released
