What happened

An OS command injection flaw in the boa formWsc peerRptPin handler of TOTOLINK X2000R firmware TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327 allows arbitrary code execution via a crafted HTTP request sent by an authenticated user.

Why it is dangerous: A successful attack gives full control of the router, exposing all traffic on the home or office network. Anyone who can log in to the device's web interface, including with stolen credentials, can exploit it.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run TOTOLINK X2000R router firmware TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327 with the web management interface reachable.

What to do

  1. Check the router's firmware version in its admin page and compare it to TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327.
  2. Install a fixed firmware from TOTOLINK when one is published, or check the vendor's support page for updates.
  3. Restrict access to the router's admin interface to trusted devices and change the admin password.
  4. If no fix is available, consider disabling remote management and replacing the device.
