What happened

An OS command injection flaw in the boa formWsc targetAPSsid functionality of TOTOLINK X2000R firmware TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327 allows arbitrary code execution through a crafted HTTP request.

Why it is dangerous: An attacker who can authenticate to the router's web interface can run code on the device, potentially taking over the router and intercepting or redirecting traffic on the network it serves.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run TOTOLINK X2000R with firmware TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327 and its web management interface is reachable by an attacker.

What to do

  1. Check whether your router is a TOTOLINK X2000R on the affected firmware version
  2. Restrict access to the router's web admin interface so it is not reachable from the internet
  3. Change default admin passwords and watch for firmware updates from TOTOLINK
  4. Apply the vendor's fixed firmware as soon as it is released
