XWiki Remote Macros lets page editors run code on the wiki server
A user who can only edit normal wiki pages can hide special commands in a page title or excerpt. When that page is included elsewhere, the commands run with the server's privileges, so the whole wiki can be taken over.

Are you affected?
You are affected if you run XWiki with the Remote Macros extension from version 1.13 up to (not including) 1.14.5 and use the excerpt-include macro.

- Update XWiki Remote Macros to version 1.14.5 or later
- If you cannot update right away, review pages that use excerpt-include and restrict page-edit rights
- Check existing pages for unexpected macro syntax in titles or excerpts
