What happened

A firmware verification flaw in the Creative Sound Blaster Katana allows an attacker to modify a legitimate firmware image and upload it to an affected device.

Why it is dangerous: A tampered firmware image can run unauthorized code on the device, and anyone using an affected Katana could be exposed, especially if the attacker has local or upload access.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you use a Creative Sound Blaster Katana device with the vulnerable firmware.
