- 2Cache poisonedversion[] array saved to shared temp file
- 3Page loadCached value passed to rawurlencode()
- 4TypeErrorPHP throws fatal error on every request
- ResultAdminNeo returns HTTP 500 to all users
What happened
The unauthenticated ?script=version endpoint accepts POST data without origin, CSRF, or type validation. A version[] array is stored in the shared adminneo.version cache and later passed to rawurlencode(), causing a PHP TypeError and HTTP 500 responses.
Are you affected?
You are affected if you run AdminNeo from version 4.6.2 up to but not including 5.5.0 on a PHP web server that can write to the shared temp directory.
| Package / product | Affected versions | Fixed in |
|---|---|---|
| adminneo-org/adminneo · composer | >= 4.6.2, < 5.5.0 | 5.5.0 |
What to do
- Update adminneo-org/adminneo to version 5.5.0 or later
- If you cannot update now, make the adminneo.version file in the PHP temp directory unwritable by the web server
- Check that AdminNeo instances are not exposed to untrusted networks while you update
