What happened

Unauthenticated PHP Object Injection in Le Truffe versions 1.1.7 and earlier, caused by unsafe handling of serialized data.

Why it is dangerous: Successful exploitation could allow remote code execution, data theft, or full takeover of the affected WordPress-style site, and anyone can attempt it because no login is required.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run Le Truffe version 1.1.7 or earlier on your website.

Le Truffe <= 1.1.7

What to do

  1. Check whether Le Truffe is installed and which version it is
  2. Update Le Truffe to a version newer than 1.1.7 as soon as one is released by the vendor
  3. If no update is available yet, disable or remove the Le Truffe plugin until a fix is published
  4. Review server logs for unusual requests containing serialized PHP data
