CriticalVulnerabilityCVE-2026-62008updated 29 Oct 2026, 20:19 UTC

- 2Orpheus unserializes inputUntrusted data processed as PHP objects
- 3Code runs on serverInjected object triggers unintended behavior
- ResultAttacker may gain control of the server
What happened
Unauthenticated PHP Object Injection in Orpheus versions 1.8 and earlier, allowing unsafe deserialization of attacker-supplied data.
Why it is dangerous: An attacker who can reach the application over the network without credentials could potentially take control of the server or its data. Any site or organization running an affected Orpheus version is at risk.
Are you affected?
You are affected if you run Orpheus version 1.8 or earlier.
Orpheus <= 1.8
What to do
- Check whether you run Orpheus version 1.8 or earlier
- Restrict network access to the Orpheus application until a fix is confirmed
- Watch the GitHub advisory GHSA-3r4p-5j69-675v for a patched version and update as soon as one is released
