CriticalVulnerabilityCVE-2026-79844updated 25 Oct 2026, 16:35 UTC

AOS-10 authentication bypass lets remote attackers run commands on the device

Attackers without a login may be able to get past the sign-in check on AOS-10 and run commands on the underlying system. This only works if certain conditions outside the attacker's control are true.

How the attack works simplified

  1. 1Remote attackerNo login credentials needed
  2. 2Reaches interfaceInterface exposed to the network
  3. 3Bypasses authAuthentication check is circumvented
  4. 4Runs commandsCommands execute on the host OS
  5. ResultAttacker controls the underlying host

What happened

Authentication bypass vulnerabilities in the AOS-10 management interface allow unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system, under certain preconditions.

Why it is dangerous: A successful attack gives full command control of the host, so an attacker could take over the device and reach the network behind it. Anyone exposing the AOS-10 interface to untrusted networks is at highest risk.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run AOS-10 with the affected interface reachable by an attacker and the required preconditions are met.

AOS-10 (specific versions not stated in the available material)

What to do

  1. Check the AOS-10 vendor advisory for affected and fixed versions, then update to a fixed release
  2. Restrict access to the AOS-10 management interface to trusted internal networks only
  3. Review logs for unexpected logins or command activity on AOS-10 devices
