CriticalVulnerabilityCVE-2026-91221updated 25 Oct 2026, 18:35 UTC

How the attack works simplified

  1. 1Remote attackerNo login or credentials needed
  2. 2T3 or IIOP requestSent over the network to SOA Suite
  3. 3Fabric Layer flawFlaw lets the request bypass checks
  4. 4SOA Suite compromisedAttacker gains full control of the server
  5. ResultAttacker takes over SOA Suite

What happened

A critical flaw in the Fabric Layer component of Oracle SOA Suite allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to compromise the product via the T3 and IIOP protocols, with a scope change affecting other products.

Why it is dangerous: A successful attack gives the attacker full control of the SOA Suite server, with high impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability. Organizations running Oracle SOA Suite that expose these protocols to the network are at risk.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0 and its T3 or IIOP protocols are reachable from the network.

Oracle SOA Suite (Oracle Fusion Middleware, Fabric Layer component): 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0

What to do

  1. Confirm whether your Oracle SOA Suite version is 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0
  2. Restrict network access to the T3 and IIOP protocols so only trusted hosts can reach them
  3. Apply the official Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for this CVE as soon as it is available for your version
