CriticalVulnerabilityCVE-2026-91231updated 25 Oct 2026, 18:35 UTC

Oracle SOA Suite can be fully taken over by unauthenticated remote attackers

Someone on the internet could reach the Oracle SOA Suite web interface without logging in and take control of it. Because the product connects to other systems, the damage could spread beyond it.

How the attack works simplified

  1. 1Remote attackerNo login or credentials needed
  2. 2HTTP requestSent to the Adapters component over the network
  3. 3SOA Suite flawMalicious request is accepted without authentication
  4. 4Product takeoverAttacker gains full control of the server
  5. ResultAttacker takes over Oracle SOA Suite and connected systems

What happened

A flaw in the Adapters component of Oracle SOA Suite (Oracle Fusion Middleware) can be exploited over HTTP without authentication, leading to full compromise of the product.

Why it is dangerous: An attacker who succeeds can read, change, or disrupt data and services, and the scope change means other connected products may also be hit. Organizations running exposed Oracle SOA Suite installations are at risk.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0 with the Adapters component reachable over HTTP from the network.

Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4.0; Oracle SOA Suite 14.1.2.0.0 (component: Adapters)

What to do

  1. Check whether Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0 is deployed in your environment
  2. Restrict network access to the SOA Suite HTTP endpoints so they are not reachable from untrusted networks
  3. Apply the official Oracle Critical Patch Update fix as soon as it is available for your version
