What happened

A critical vulnerability in the Fabric Layer component of Oracle Business Process Management Suite allows a low-privileged remote attacker over HTTP to gain unauthorized access to data and to modify or delete it, with scope change to other products.

Why it is dangerous: Successful attacks can expose or alter all data accessible through the suite, and the scope change means other connected products may be impacted. Organizations running BPM Suite with exposed HTTP access are at risk.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run Oracle Business Process Management Suite 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0.

Oracle Business Process Management Suite 12.2.1.4.0; Oracle Business Process Management Suite 14.1.2.0.0

What to do

  1. Check whether you run Oracle Business Process Management Suite 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0
  2. Restrict network access to the BPM Suite HTTP interface to trusted users and systems
  3. Apply the security update from Oracle's Critical Patch Update or Oracle Security Alert when available
