CriticalVulnerabilityCVE-2026-91323updated 25 Oct 2026, 18:50 UTC

Oracle WebLogic Server can be fully taken over over the network without logging in

Attackers on the internet can send specially crafted web requests to Oracle WebLogic Server and take control of it, without needing a password. Anyone running the affected versions should treat this as urgent.

What happened

A flaw in the Core component of Oracle WebLogic Server, part of Oracle Fusion Middleware, lets an unauthenticated attacker with network access over HTTP fully compromise the server. The advisory describes a high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CVSS 3.1 base score 9.8).

Why it is dangerous: A successful attack gives the attacker takeover of the server, which can expose or alter the data and applications it runs. Organizations exposing WebLogic to a network, including the internet, are at risk.

Are you affected?

You are affected if you run Oracle WebLogic Server 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0, 14.1.2.0.0, or 15.1.1.0.0 and it is reachable over HTTP from a network an attacker can access.

Oracle WebLogic Server 12.2.1.4.0; 14.1.1.0.0; 14.1.2.0.0; 15.1.1.0.0 (Oracle Fusion Middleware, component: Core)

What to do

  1. Check whether any WebLogic Server instance runs one of the affected versions listed above.
  2. Restrict network access to WebLogic HTTP ports so only trusted networks can reach them, until a fix is applied.
  3. Apply the official Oracle Critical Patch Update or security fix for your version as soon as it is available; the sources reviewed do not name a fixed version.
  4. Monitor WebLogic logs and servers for unusual HTTP requests or unexpected changes.
